Binge eating or any form of eating disorder is never beneficial to a person’s health. It can cause different diseases such as hypertension, cardio related illnesses as well as type 1 and type 2 diabetes. The battle against this condition is still very much waged after all, more and more people fall prey to this disorder. What’s worse is that most of them do not know they are battling something. Purging is one of the harmful binge eating effects. When a person eats, the body takes time to digest it and absorb the nutrients it provides. However, for those suffering from eating disorder, they eat fast and then purge fast. This does not give the body time to absorb any of the nutrients since it is being pulled out of the body abruptly. It also wears and tears down the esophagus which does not bode well for the body either.
If a person wants to stop suffering from binge eating effects then they’d better seek professional help or have a strong support group to watch over how they eat and what they eat. Binge eaters are secretive people and tend to lie to protect themselves. The more in tuned you are with the symptoms and the tell tale signs, the better you can deal with this disorder.
